Description: We are seeking enthusiastic, fun, individuals, with exceptional web skills, to join our talented and growing web team of Educators. In this role, you will help shape the instruction of our students as they progress through the Web Curriculum at Full Sail University. Our future teammates will be self-motivated individuals that possess knowledge of web techniques and technologies coupled with a desire to share their unique talents while working in a state-of-the-art environment.

As the Course Director for the Streaming Media Servers course, you will teach students how to deliver media data over a network as a steady continuous stream, allowing playback to proceed while it is being received. Students will learn students learn how to deliver live or prerecorded rich media content in real time over the Internet. This course covers streaming media file formats, streaming media server protocols, and streaming media clients.

Responsibilities:
• Plan, design, develop, and implement course curriculum as defined by the Program Director
• Lecture to students and assist students with queries and requests for additional information
• Evaluate and grade the students’ progress through the course material
• Support and cultivate the student body
• Ensure high student retention of curriculum
• Participate in monthly departmental meetings
• Work with the Program Director on enhancing the quality of the course and the Web Department

Requirements:
• Extensive knowledge of CODECs and optimization
• Extensive knowledge of target bandwidth encoding
• Extensive knowledge of streaming media file formats
• Extensive knowledge of media protocols
• Extensive knowledge of media web clients
• Extensive knowledge of streaming media
deployments
• Extensive knowledge of the QuickTime platform
• Extensive knowledge of the Flash media platform
• Good design and layout skills
• Knowledge of Flash, Flash integration, and ActionScript 3.0 helpful

Education/Training:
• Minimum of three years experience designing, developing, and producing web applications
• Bachelor’s Degree

• Ability to help develop lab curriculum
