Updated Requirements for Asset Management and Production Methodologies Positions!

Job Title: Course Director – Asset Management

Job Type: Full Time

Department: Education – Game Development Master of Science

Responsibilities: The Faculty member will develop curriculum and teach the new Asset Management course in the Game Development Master of Science Program. In this course students learn how to store, archive, optimize, schedule and export assets. Asset management systems will be explored and students will also learn how to plan the localization of their games and assets for different regions.

The successful candidate will have professional experience in Game Development. Candidate will mentor students, attend faculty development workshops, and participate in campus activities including meetings, special events, behind-the-scenes tours and graduation.

All faculty will work directly from the Full Sail campus in Winter Park, FL.

Requirements: MFA, Ph.D preferred *OR* a Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience

Education/Training: MFA and 4 years professional experience in Game Development *OR* a Bachelor’s degree with 8 years professional experience in Game Development

Skills Needed: Broad base of knowledge regarding business and the entertainment industry. Applicants must have a proven ability to create effective and engaging course curriculum. This is primarily a lecture position, so candidates must also demonstrate strong communication and presentation skills, with previous educational experience preferred.

Responsibilities: The Faculty member will develop curriculum and teach the new Production Methodologies course in the Game Development Master of Science Program. This class discusses the many different ways that managers can schedule, plan and execute their projects. Students will learn project management methods and software development methods and how these led to the basis of production methodologies. They will learn the difference in the ways to plan and execute their project, as well as learning which ones work better in each field, software or manufacturing.

The successful candidate will have professional experience in Game Development. Candidate will mentor students, attend faculty development workshops, and participate in campus activities including meetings, special events, behind-the-scenes tours and graduation.
