Job Title: Course Director, Advanced Server Side Languages and Databases

Description: We are seeking enthusiastic, fun, individuals, with exceptional web skills, to join our talented and growing web team of Educators. In this role, you will help shape the instruction of our students as they progress through the Web Curriculum at Full Sail. Our future teammates will be self-motivated individuals that possess knowledge of web techniques and technologies coupled with a desire to share their unique talents while working in a state-of-the-art environment.
As the Course Director for the Advanced Server Side Languages and Databases course, you will teach students how to implement the technologies used to create dynamic content for the web using advanced server-side languages and database structures. This course focuses on the use of advanced PHP and ColdFusion coupled with advanced MySQL database techniques.
Responsibilities:
• Plan, design, develop, and implement course curriculum as defined by the Program Director
• Lecture to students and assist students with queries and requests for additional information
• Evaluate and grade the students’ progress through the course material
• Support and cultivate the student body
• Ensure high student retention of curriculum
• Participate in monthly departmental meetings
• Work with the Program Director on enhancing the quality of the course and the Web Department
Requirements:
• Extensive knowledge of server side languages and their implementation
• Extensive knowledge of PHP
• Extensive knowledge of ColdFusion
• Extensive knowledge of Database structures and information design
• Extensive knowledge of MySQL
• Knowledge of Web Standards design and development
• Knowledge of client scripting helpful
• Good design and layout skills helpful
• Knowledge of Flash, Flash integration, and ActionScript 3.0 helpful
Education/Training:
• Minimum of three years experience designing, developing, and producing web applications
• Bachelor’s Degree
Skills Needed:
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Self-motivated team member
• Ability to help develop lab curriculum
