Instructor - Digital Mastering

Job Title: Course Director – Digital Mastering

Job Type: Full Time

Department: Education – Audio Program

Responsibilities: The Audio Program of Full Sail University is seeking a Course Director for Digital Mastering. This person will lead a team in teaching a project-oriented class that will explore both creative and technical applications of advanced music editing and mastering for both CD and DVD, including standards and practices of the mastering industry.

The successful candidate will engage in scholarly activities including teaching and advising undergraduate students, and must be able to supervise lab support personnel.

Responsibilities will include:
• Plan, design, develop, implement, and maintain course curriculum as defined by the Program Director
• Lecture to students and assist students with queries and requests for additional information
• Evaluate and grade the students’ progress through the course material
• Ensure high student retention of curriculum
• Supervise lab staff
• Engage in ongoing research and professional development to ensure curriculum is representative of current industry practices and student needs
• Participate in departmental meetings, budget preparation, and other company functions as designated by the Program Director.


Requirements:
A minimum of four years experience with professional music mastering and a Bachelor’s degree is required, in-field preferred. Applicant must have a strong background in mastering for the music industry, along with a working technical knowledge of standard mastering equipment, studios, monitoring systems, and acoustics.

Education/Training: Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 4 years professional experience in music mastering.

Skills Needed: Applicants must have a proven ability to create effective and engaging course curriculum. This is primarily a lecture position, so candidates must also demonstrate strong communication and presentation skills. Teaching experience is desired but not required.

Instructor - Scripting for Web Applications II

Job Title: Course Director, Scripting for Web Applications II

In this role, you will help shape the instruction of our students as they progress through the Web Curriculum at Full Sail. As the Course Director for the Scripting for Web Applications course, you will teach students how to implement the technologies used to create dynamic content for the Web using advanced client-side scripting and libraries. In addition to teaching students advanced concepts of JavaScript, students will explore various client-side libraries and their implementations to add behaviors to web pages. This course focuses on the use of advanced JavaScript and frameworks along with forms and validation and advanced DOM techniques.

Salary range: $45-60k depending on experience

Instructor - 3D Arts

Job Title: Studio Artist - 3D Arts

Department: Education - Digital Arts & Design

Responsibilities: The 3D Arts courses, as a component of the Digital Arts & Design Bachelors Degree program, are comprised of 3 - 1 month classes focusing on the fundamentals of 3D modeling, texturing, lighting and animation. Students create projects that incorporate 3D as well as Motion Graphics and Digital Video.

The Studio Artists are responsible for ensuring retention of lecture material through facilitating the successful completion of Lab exercises, student projects and preproduction documentation.

Studio Artist responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the grading and assessment process
- Controlling and maintaining the lab environment
- Researching new program features to better understand the benefits to our students
- Preparing tutorials and lab exercises
- Attending periodic scheduled staff meetings

Requirements: Applicants for the 3D Arts Studio Artist position must be able to show a significant degree of skill in the specific areas mentioned including:

- In-depth knowledge of Autodesk 3DS Max 2008 or later
- Photoshop CS3 or later
- After Effects CS3 or later

Education/Training:
- Completed portfolio demonstrating sufficient skills in the mentioned areas
- Bachelors Degree in a related discipline or
- Two or more years of real Industry experience in a related field
