Job Title: Course Director, The Business of Creative Writing

Department: Education – Creative Writing Master of Fine Arts Degree

Responsibilities: Full-time instructor for the Creative Writing Master of Fine Arts Degree program (both online & on campus). Duties include teaching multiple classes, instructional planning, advising students, and participating in campus activities. The successful candidate must maintain office hours for consultation and provide excellent service to students. Position will be available immediately.

Requirements: Master's or doctorate degree in English, Film, Communications, Animation, Gaming or a related field. Candidates must possess four years of related professional experience, which may include writing for the entertainment industry, Creative Writing, Storytelling, Film/Television, Animation, Gaming, Communications, Advertising and/or Marketing.

All faculty will work directly from the Full Sail campus in Winter Park, FL.

Education/Training: PhD, MFA, EdD, MA, or MS degree.

Skills Needed: Broad base of knowledge in writing for the entertainment industry. The ideal candidate possesses a strong knowledge of legal circumstances writers face in the marketing of their ideas. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Teaching experience is preferred.
