Responsibilities: The Program Director for the Music Production Bachelor of Science degree program oversees all courses and staff within the program.


Requirements: This position requires a person with the professional confidence and interpersonal skills necessary to motivate students and empower their educators for success. This individual should have a broad understanding of audio recording engineering, audio workstations and professional digital production software work flow and file management. Practical knowledge of web based audio file transfer (FTP) within today’s music industry is desired. This individual will also need to possess experience in the areas of music composition, song writing, music producing. Along with understanding the content material of the degree, the individual must be a leader of people. The successful candidate must have a collaborative leadership style to work effectively with the school administration, the teachers, the student, the parents, and the school’s leadership team. Lastly, this individual should have teaching experience and an understanding of online education.

Education/Training: The ideal candidate must possess an advanced degree, preferably a Master of Music Production and Technology, Master of Music in Sound Recording Technology or a Master of Music in Music Education

Skills Needed: The candidate should have teaching experience and a passion for education, also an aptitude for digital audio production and work flow, first hand experience working with music composition and songwriting along with a knowledge of online teaching concepts. In addition, experience in the entertainment business field is preferred.
