Job Title: Course Director, Mobile Device Deployment

Description: We are seeking enthusiastic, fun, individuals, with exceptional web skills, to join our talented and growing web team of Educators. In this role, you will help shape the instruction of our students as they progress through the Web Curriculum at Full Sail University. Our future teammates will be self-motivated individuals that possess knowledge of web techniques and technologies coupled with a desire to share their unique talents while working in a state-of-the-art environment.

As the Course Director for the Mobile Device Deployment course, you will teach students how to deliver content for mobile devices, including cell phones and PDA’s. Students go through the process of producing and optimizing Internet-based content that is compatible with various mobile device operating systems and mobile browsers. This course also explores current techniques for mobile web authoring including Web Standards and Dashcode development.

Responsibilities:
• Plan, design, develop, and implement course curriculum as defined by the Program Director
• Lecture to students and assist students with queries and requests for additional information
• Evaluate and grade the students’ progress through the course material
• Support and cultivate the student body
• Ensure high student retention of curriculum
• Participate in monthly departmental meetings
• Work with the Program Director on enhancing the quality of the course and the Web Department

Requirements:
• Extensive knowledge of Web Standards
• Extensive knowledge of JavaScript
• Extensive knowledge of mobile device Operating Systems
• Extensive knowledge of media protocols and optimization for mobile devices
• Extensive knowledge of mobile web clients
• Extensive knowledge of streaming media deployments
• Extensive knowledge of the QuickTime platform
• Good design and layout skills
• Knowledge of the Flash media platform helpful

Education/Training:
• Minimum of three years experience designing, developing, and producing web applications
• Bachelor’s Degree

• Ability to help develop lab curriculum
