The Game Art Department is looking for a Course Director for the Game Animation Course. This course provides students with their first opportunity to produce animated sequences and cycles for game play. Students develop an overall understanding of animation as it applies to the game industry with a focus on game engine constraints and requirements.
The Course Director is responsible for preparation and presentation of course material, as well as proper management of course curriculum and instructional staff. This is a lecture position, so candidates must also demonstrate strong communication and presentation skills, with previous educational experience preferred
All faculty will work directly from the Full Sail campus.
Full Sail University offers a unique, hands-on, real word education to over 8,000 students from all over the world. We are located in Winter Park, Florida, just outside Orlando – one of the world’s foremost tourist destinations. In addition to great weather, plentiful beaches, and some of the most famous theme parks on the planet, Orlando features a thriving entertainment community.
The candidate must have a Bachelor of Arts Degree and 4 years industry related experience, as well as a strong working knowledge of animation, character rigging and implementation into the game environment.
Prospective candidates should have experience modeling, texturing, animation, as well as working knowledge of dynamic simulation and mental ray rendering. The candidate must able to guide students as 3D artist through strong critique and the abilities to direct changes in art work. The candidate must have strong management skills and organizational skills.
All candidates must provide samples of their work via web address or demo reel.
This position is full time, on campus and requires a flexible schedule to include several evenings to be available to students.

Faculty Position, Usability
Full Sail University is now accepting applications for CD Usability in the Game Design Degree Program. The Usability Course explores the theoretical and practical methods used to improve game interfaces. Usability inspection is aimed at finding usability problems and providing design-relevant information to designers and engineers in the effort of making products easier to interact with and more efficient to use. In this course, students will understand usability and its considerations defining the usability trade-offs involved in the game design world. Some of the topics shall include generations of user interfaces, the usability engineering lifecycle, usability heuristics and usability testing methodologies.
