Faculty Position, Media Literacy and Research Methodologies

Full Sail University is now accepting applications for Associate Course Director, Media Literacy and Research Methodologies in its Education Media Design and Technology Master of Science Degree program. This is a full-time position requiring a flexible night and weekend schedule (based on student needs). All faculty will work directly from the Full Sail campus.

Full Sail offers a unique, hands-on, real word education to over 8,000 students from all over the world. We are located in Winter Park, Florida, just outside Orlando – one of the world’s foremost tourist destinations. The faculty will report to the Program Director of Education Media Design and Technology. The Faculty member will facilitate an online course related to research methods, development of media/digital literacy skills, online innovation, as well as immersive environments.

Applicants must have a proven ability to facilitate effective and engaging course curriculum and should possess exemplary communication and digital skills. The successful candidate will mentor students, attend faculty development workshops and participate in campus activities including meetings, special events, behind-the-scenes tours and graduation.

Job requirements include an earned master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in research methods, media literacy, as well as instructional technology or similar experience teaching online courses at the post-secondary level. Candidates with marketing/business experience are preferred. Additional required skills include online facilitation, APA formatting, flexibility working with teams and excellent oral and written communication skills.

Faculty Position, Streaming Media Servers

In this role, you will help shape the instruction of our students as they progress through the Web Curriculum at Full Sail. The successful candidate will plan, design, develop, and implement course curriculum as defined by the Program Director, lecture to students and assist students with queries and requests for additional information, evaluate and grade the students’ progress through the course material, support and cultivate the student body, ensure high student retention of curriculum, participate in monthly departmental meetings and work with the Program Director on enhancing the quality of the course and the Web Department.

Requirements include extensive knowledge in Object Oriented ActionScript, streaming media servers (preferably Flash Media Server, or Red-5), proficiency with web standards (XHTML, CSS, JavaScript) and the Adobe Creative Suite design tools. Also required is an Associate’s degree in a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred) and a minimum of four years experience designing, developing, and producing web applications. Excellent oral and written communication skills, self-motivated team member and the ability to help develop lab curriculum are essential.

Faculty Position, Optimization

The Faculty member will develop curriculum and teach the Optimization course in the Game Development Bachelor of Science Program. This course focuses on techniques required for increasing the frame rate of video game applications. By examining the relationship between the CPU, GPU and their architectures, students better understand how code and art affect their platform. Candidate will mentor students, attend faculty development workshops, and participate in campus activities including meetings, special events, behind-the-scenes tours and graduation.

Requirements include an understanding of modern micro architecture concepts such as instruction level parallelism, branch prediction, and automatic hardware prefetching. Understanding of modern GPU architecture concepts such as shaders, post-Geometry cache. Experience with Intel V-Tune and an understanding of multiple level cache systems and multi-core programming.
Also required are a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 4 years professional experience in Game Development.

The successful candidate will have expert proficiency in C++, experience using tools PIX and PerfHUD, compiler development experience and Graphics driver development experience are a plus. This is primarily a lecture position, so candidates must also demonstrate strong communication and presentation skills, with previous educational experience preferred. Faculty Position, New Media Marketing

Full Sail is a media arts college located in Orlando, Florida that trains students for careers in the entertainment media industry. Degree programs include Music Business, Entertainment Business, Film, Game Development, Computer Animation, Digital Arts and Design, Graphic Design, Internet Marketing, Recording Arts, Show Production, and Web Design and Development.

The Course Director is responsible for the preparation and presentation of course material as well as proper management of course curriculum and instructional staff. Faculty Position, Structure of Game Production

Full Sail University is now accepting applications for Course Director for its course Structure of Game Production in the Game Development Bachelor’s Degree Program. This is a full-time teaching position for its on-campus degree.

Full Sail University offers a unique, hands-on, real word education to over 8,000 students from all over the world. Applicants must possess excellent communication skills and have an outstanding understanding of how to produce a small scoped game from start to finish. The successful candidate will help to develop and maintain curriculum, help teach multiple classes, manage a team of instructors for their class, help mentor students, provide feedback on project progression, and participate in campus activities including special events, project presentations, and graduation.

Job requirements include at least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. Candidates must also have a minimum of five years of Game or Simulation Development; working in Programming and/or Production is preferred. Having lead or managed one or more full or discipline related teams (programming lead) is a plus.
